Following his traineeship with Master of Laws Flor BASTAENS, August DESMEDT started his own lawyer’s office in Antwerp in September 1973.

In September 1979, the office moved to the Amerikalei 52.
Master of Laws August DESMEDT guided several trainees to be successful lawyers.
Through the years, the clientele increased and mid 92 the office was obliged to expand and move to a new location in Tolstraat 56 in Antwerp.

On the 1st of January 1996, he entered into an association with Tom DAEL and the office was transformed into BVBA ADVOCATENKANTOOR DESMEDT & DAEL.

In the beginning of 1998, this association was further expanded with Kris LUYCKX and on the 1st of July 2000, the office merged with the lawyer’s office of Marc DELANNOYE in Merksem. This lead to the foundation of BVBA ADVOCATENKANTOOR DESMEDT, DELANNOYE, DAEL & LUYCKX.

On the 1st of January 2002, the office moved to the 4th floor of the America House, Amerikalei 122 in Antwerp.

On the 1st of July 2006, the association was expanded with Tom HERMANS and became BVBA ADVOCATENKANTOOR DESDALEX .
At present, the office is a complete association consisting of 5 lawyers with 5 lawyers-collaborators, 1 lawyer-trainee, one office-manager and 6 administrative collaborators.

In 2010, the office treated its 26,000th dossier.
